Your Beauty Treatment Guide Before a Special Occasion
A countdown for weddings and events: what to book months ahead, what belongs in the final week, and what should never be left to the day before.

Lash treatments are one of the quickest ways to make the eyes look more defined without adding to your daily routine. They are popular before holidays, weddings and events, and equally popular with people who simply want to wear less eye make-up day to day.
Because lash services vary between salons, the most useful thing we can do here is explain how to think about the options and what looking after your natural lashes involves. Call us on 07337 350130 and we will tell you exactly which lash treatments we currently offer and what would work for your lashes.
The right treatment depends on what your own lashes are like and what you want from the result. Short, straight lashes and long, fine lashes respond differently, and a look that suits one will not necessarily suit the other.
It is also worth being clear with yourself about upkeep. Some lash treatments need regular maintenance appointments to keep looking their best; others grow out gradually and simply fade. Neither is better, but choosing the one that fits your life makes a real difference to how happy you are with it a month later.
Whatever treatment you have, the underlying lashes need to stay healthy. Lashes shed and regrow on their own cycle, and losing a few each day is completely normal.
Being gentle is most of it: avoid rubbing your eyes, take eye make-up off carefully rather than scrubbing, and be wary of waterproof mascara if you are wearing it daily. If you use an eye cream, keep it away from the lash line itself where it can migrate onto the lashes.
Tell us before we start if you have sensitive eyes, wear contact lenses, or have had any reaction to an eye product or lash treatment before. Some lash treatments involve products used close to the eye, and a patch test may be needed in advance, which is why it is worth calling ahead rather than assuming it can be done on the day.
If you have any eye condition, an infection, or you are being treated for something affecting the eye area, speak to your GP or optician before booking.
Priced by set. Which set suits you depends on your own lashes, so we talk it through before applying anything.

Why clients choose it
01
Lash treatments give the eyes more presence, which for many people means reaching for mascara far less often.
02
We look at the length, thickness and direction of your natural lashes before recommending anything.
03
A popular choice ahead of weddings and holidays, when photographs and swimming make eye make-up inconvenient.
04
Lash treatments are carried out lying down with the eyes closed, and most people find them very restful.
Your appointment
We talk through what you are hoping for and look at your natural lashes before agreeing on a treatment.
Where a patch test is required, this is arranged in advance of the appointment itself, usually at least 24 to 48 hours before.
You lie back with your eyes closed for the treatment. The lower lashes are usually separated and protected first.
The treatment is carried out on one eye and then the other, with checks along the way.
We go through aftercare, and any maintenance the treatment needs, before you leave.
Questions
Lash services change from time to time, so the most reliable answer is a quick call on 07337 350130. We will tell you what is available and, more usefully, which of them would actually suit your lashes.
For some lash treatments, yes, and it needs to happen in advance rather than on the day. Mention it when you book so we can arrange it in good time. This is particularly important if you are booking around an event.
It depends on the treatment. Some make mascara unnecessary, and with others an oil-free formula is fine. We will tell you which applies to yours before you leave.
Leave a week or two rather than going the day before. That allows time for a patch test where one is needed, lets you see the result settle, and leaves room to adjust anything at a follow-up appointment.
Lashes shed and regrow naturally throughout the year, so some loss is expected regardless. Following the aftercare, avoiding rubbing your eyes and not picking at treated lashes are the things most within your control.
